What this page covers
This page lists what is collected when you use this website, its chat assistant, or the firm's phone line: what the information is, when it is collected, why, and how long it is kept. The Privacy Policy explains how that information is protected and shared, and the choices you have. Spanski Law does not sell personal information.
Information collected
Consultation requests
- What
- Your name, phone number, email address, the topic you choose, your answers to the optional planning questions, how and when you prefer to be contacted, how you heard about the firm, your message, and, if you check the box, your agreement to text messages with the wording and time of that agreement.
- When
- When you send the consultation form.
- Why
- To respond to you, to arrange and prepare for your complimentary 15-minute call or in-person consultation, and to keep a record of the inquiry. The request is saved in the firm's website database, emailed to the firm, and may be sent to the firm's client-intake software and to its lead reporting service.
- How long
- One year in the website database. If you become a client, it becomes part of your file.
Summary of your message
- What
- The topic you selected and the note you wrote in the consultation form, sent to an AI program, which returns a short summary and a list of questions for the firm's staff. Your name, phone number, and email address are not sent. Nothing is sent if you leave the note blank.
- When
- After a consultation request is received, before anyone at the firm reads it.
- Why
- So staff can read a short version of your request before your call. The summary is used only inside the firm, is never shown to you or published, and is not legal advice. See the AI Policy.
- How long
- With the request, for as long as the request is kept.
Checklist requests
- What
- Your name and email address.
- When
- When you ask for the estate planning checklist.
- Why
- To send the checklist and keep a record of the request. The request is saved in the website database, emailed to the firm, and may be sent to the firm's lead reporting service.
- How long
- One year in the website database.
Chat conversations
- What
- The messages you type into the chat assistant and any contact details you share there.
- When
- When you use the chat window.
- Why
- To answer general questions and help arrange a consultation. Replies come from an artificial intelligence (AI) program run by the firm's client-intake provider, and the conversation is shared with the firm so it can follow up.
- How long
- In the firm's client-intake system for as long as needed to respond and to keep records of inquiries.
Phone calls
- What
- Your phone number, the time of the call, and what is said. Calls answered by the automated assistant may be recorded and transcribed.
- When
- When you call the firm and the call is answered by the automated assistant.
- Why
- To take your message, answer general questions, and arrange a call back or a consultation.
- How long
- In the firm's client-intake system for as long as needed to respond and to keep records of inquiries.
How you found the site
- What
- The website, search, or advertisement that brought you here, including any campaign details and advertising click identifiers in the page address, and the first page you visited.
- When
- When you arrive on the site. It is stored in your browser and attached to a request only if you send one.
- Why
- To understand which searches, referrals, and advertisements lead people to contact the firm.
- How long
- In your browser until you clear it. With a request, for as long as the request is kept.
Anonymous visit statistics
- What
- The pages viewed, the general type of device, the referring website or campaign, and whether the phone number was tapped or a form was started or sent. These are linked to a random identifier stored in your browser, not to your name or contact details.
- When
- On each visit, unless your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
- Why
- To see, in total, how the site is used and where it can be improved.
- How long
- 13 months.
Unfinished consultation requests
- What
- What you have typed into the consultation form so far, apart from the text message box.
- When
- While you fill in the form.
- Why
- So your answers are not lost if the page is refreshed.
- How long
- Only in that browser tab. It is cleared when the request is sent or the tab is closed.
Hosting and embedded services
- What
- Technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested.
- When
- When a page loads, including the Google map, the Google reviews display, and the site's fonts.
- Why
- To deliver the site and those features, and to keep the site secure.
- How long
- As set by each provider.
Your choices
- Sending a form, using the chat assistant, and agreeing to text messages are all optional.
- Turning on your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting stops the site's anonymous visit statistics.
- Clearing this site's stored data in your browser removes the saved visit source and any unfinished request.
- Replying STOP to a text message from the firm ends text messages.
- You may ask to see, correct, or delete information the firm holds about you by calling (941) 206-2223 or emailing season@spanskilaw.com.
